We have five females each of the following breeds; Barred Rocks, White Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, New Hampshire Reds, Buff Orpingtons, and Black Australorps. Also, one New Hampshire Red rooster and one mystery chick (’cause Murray McMurray Hatchery throws in an extra just for kicks).
We’re raising chickens for their eggs, but also so that we can try hatching our own broilers next spring. Sustainability is the name of the game.
